Interested in Buying a Business?

Today's economy is nothing if not unsettled - stocks tanking, banks failing, and job losses mounting.  While business ownership is not a panacea to our nation's economic troubles, small businesses are normally the first to recover when the economy turns for the better and often provides the stimulus behind economic recovery.  Additionally, small business ownership provides a "safe harbor" to those recently displaced from corporate careers.  If you find yourself cut loose from your normal employment for the first time, I'd suggest you take a look at the following article - it provides a good perspective and suggestions for making the best of a difficult situation.

As The Business Exchange is very active in the Central Kentucky business community, we often happen upon opportunities that may, or may not, be made available to the general public as a whole.  Oftentimes, we are approached by business owners who aren't yet interested in making their business available for sale but ask us to "keep our eyes open" for a possible buyer for their businesses.  Additionally, at times we are able to take a more proactive approach - if we know a buyer is interested in a specific type of business, we are often able to approach current owners to alert them that a buyer may be available if they are interested in a possible sale.

To be effective in this capacity, we must be made aware of the needs and preferences of potential buyers.
